Bundiyarra Irra Wangga Language Centre aims to preserve, maintain, and promote the Aboriginal languages of the Midwest, Murchison, and Gascoyne regions. BIW focusses on Language Documentation & Preservation, Language Revitalisation & Education, Community Engagement, Cultural Connection, Partnerships, Support & Advocacy. 

Closing the Gap Targets 

  • Target 3 - Children are engaged in high quality, culturally appropraite early childhood education in their early years.

  • Target 5 - Students achieve their full leanring potential.
  • Target 11 - Young people are not overrepresented in the criminal justice system.

  • Target 17 - People have access to information and services enabling participation in informed decision-making regarding their own lives.
