  Linguist James Bednall helps participants break down the Wajarri Language

 

 

Bundiyarra - Irra Wangga Language Program organised Wajarri language classes since the inception of the Program in 2005.  Classes were put on hold due to staffing changes in 2008, however they recommenced in 2011.

 

 

 

Wajarri language classes are designed to run in parallel with the school terms.

Bundiyarra - Irra Wangga Language Centre is running a short course of Wajarri classes in partnership with the Western Australian Museum- Geraldton. The course is fun and interactive
and will help you develop speaking and listening skills in Wajarri, the most widely spoken Indigenous language of the Midwest region.

 

Ngana?

Classes taught by Bundiyarra - Irra Wangga Staff

  

This course is open to anyone interested in learning Wajarri, from absolute beginners to
advanced learners. All are welcome!


School classes are welcome and encouraged - please

The 6-week course runs in Term 4 on these dates:
22 Oct, 29 Oct, 5 Nov, 19 Nov, 26 Nov;
PLUS
Language party and open day on 3 Dec
Classes run from 12:15 - 1:00pm - bring your lunch down!

The Wedge, 1 Museum Place, Geraldton

 

Fees: 

Standard $10 per lesson/$50 course
Concession $5 per lesson/$30 course
